Dr. John Kim grew up in Bethesda, MD. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in civil engineering. Later, Dr. Kim decided to pursue his interests in engineering smiles by graduating from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Kim furthered his dental education with postgraduate training at the University of California, Los Angeles in hospital dentistry where he was able to treat a wide range of medically compromised patients. Dr. Kim went on to specialize in treating chronic dental pain patients by completing an orofacial pain fellowship at UCLA. Dr. Kim met his wife in Southern California and decided to return to his hometown. Dr. Kim's interests include playing basketball, snowboarding, finding good cheap eats with his wife, and agonizing over his childhood team, the Redskins.
